ABSTRACT

TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE CULTURAL CONSUMPTIONS IN THE DIGITAL AGE. The studies on cultural consumption in Latin America, have produced a set of reflections it brings over of the manners in which the public ones appropriate of the symbolic goods. On an increasing included society, the Technologies of the Information and the Communication (TIC) they stamp new dynamics on the cultural field. Nevertheless, to time that they promise the equitable access to so called “Society of the Information”, the gap between whom they accede and who not, it is literally abysmal.

This article analyzes the current transformations that they cross to the cultural field in the Argentina. We will ask ourselves which are the practices and the imaginary middle for the digital technologies, how they affect in other cultural consumptions and of what way they tend to legitimize certain hegemonic processes. An axis of interest they will be the educational policies centred on the TIC, which speeches produce a distancing of the instrumental boarding and the displacement towards other significant cores as social incorporation and formation of the citizenship.
